Degree Components
The components of our Adult Degree Completion program are illustrated in the following diagram. Upon entrance, students may transfer a limited number of courses beyond those earned for their AA Degree or equivalent. Your advisor will work with you to evaluate your portfolio and design your particular learning plan.

Leadership- Major
A major in Leadership makes it the focus of your degree. Leadership studies are structured in a way that creatively combines theory and practical learning, blending the workplace with the classroom.
Electives - Your choice
Additional credits/semesters hours make up the reamining component of the degere. Selections can be made from online courses, campus classes, transfer credits or Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). . Your advisor will assist you in selecting the courses that are right for you when you buildi your customized learning plan together.
Liberal Arts Core - Base
This component consists of 60 semester hours of liberal arts courses. Your AA degree or equivalent satisfies this component already. If you have not completed this component don't let that stop you from applying. The flexibility of our program allows you to begin the coursework and pick up the remaining liberal arts courses at your own pace.
Life-long Learning Strategies - First Course
Designed to prepare and equip the adult learner for academic and personal learning success, this first course is foundational to the whole program not just for the degree but for life! Livelong Learning Strategies will help you set your learning pace, know what to expect in the program, and become acquainted with the delivery format.This course will be offered frequently. Students should take this course prior to entering the Adult Degree Completion program.
Capstone Course - Last Course
Personhood is the capstone and final course in the program. This course will summarize and synthesize your professional studies. It's the "so what?" course that helps you critically understand and relate to your profession as you learn to articulate your philosophy of leadership and worldview..
