Courses are organized into six Modules. Each module covers 9 semester hours – two 7-week classes plus one concurrent field-related experiential course. Classes meet once a week for six to seven weeks and one Saturday. Supplemented with online interaction between classes, students will be accelerating the learning experience without sacrificing quality.

“The program is perfect for me because I am married, work full-time and want to pursue a career in counseling or social work. As I am a bit older – 27 – and need to work, the evening and weekend program really fits my schedule.” Regan Dement |
Relevant Learning
Practical real-world or work-related experience is incorporated into the program through field placement and practicum courses. This provides students with relevant learning experiences through the blending of theory, skill development and reality.
|
“I can gain a depth of hands on experience; apply a Christian worldview to my learning; and prepare for both graduate school and a career in marriage and family therapy, targeting, but not limited to the Hispanic community." Escarleth DeLeon |
Supportive Environment
Students begin and end the program together in a "cohort" or learning team. This creates a supportive and enjoyable learning environment of like-minded learners in similar positions - balancing busy life schedules at home and work. Your classroom colleagues will become a close knit group of friends who you will learn from and learn with. And after your degree, they become a critical part of your professional network.

“Since we are grouped into cohorts, we stay together for some of our classes so we get to know one another pretty well. I think that type of relationship within the context of education lends itself well to a more authentic style of learning for the group as a whole." Cheryl Tillotson |
It has given me so many tools for my professional and personal life. Class is the highlight of my week.
